What Is Iridology?

Iridology is the study and analysis of the iris, the colored portion of the eye. By examining the delicate structures and fibers of the iris, practitioners can observe patterns that reflect conditions within the body—both where they are manifesting and at what stage.

The iris is one of the most complex tissues in the human body. As an extension of the brain, it is richly connected with nerve endings, blood vessels, and muscle tissue. Because of this, the iris acts like a miniature map of the body, displaying reflex responses that correspond to various organs and systems.

How It Works

Nerve fibers in the iris respond to changes in body tissues. These responses can be observed as subtle shifts in the texture and patterns of the iris. Through careful analysis, iridology can provide insight into:

  • Body constitution and overall resilience

  • Inherent strengths and weaknesses

  • Levels of health and vitality

  • Changes occurring in the body over time based on lifestyle

Iridology is non-invasive and offers a unique perspective on the body’s overall functioning, making it a valuable tool for understanding health from the inside out.
